Branches & Blooms

The collaboration is a conversation about heritage. Marwa’s Sudan is filtered through Dubai, a childhood lived inside a multi-cultural city woven from every elsewhere. Tala’s Palestine is of African lineage, born into a Black community whose roots run long and are too often untold.
Through food and memory, the experience reflects what it means to belong to more than one place, while the Palestinian olive branch and Sudanese hibiscus act as subtle symbols of resistance, resilience, and continuity across both cultures.

Tokul and Three Homes Ago Supper Clubs present a shared memory through 5 courses of Sudanese-Palestinian dishes, built from the humble ingredients once found in our home pantries. A reminder that food carries the stories, memories, and connections that weave our cultures together.
